It’s only been a year since We Can Code IT was apart of the Flashstarts Accelerator program, but they’ve grown significantly since then.
The women-led and founded company, seeks not only to teach technology through coding bootcamps and workshops, but to also diversify the field of technology, focusing their outreach to women and other diverse populations who may’ve not been granted the opportunity before.
But those signing up for the company’s programs vary in demographics dramatically, from age to gender and level of education—some come in with GEDs, while others come in with multiple master’s degrees.
Exponential Growth
It’s clear that those We Can Code IT is beginning to have a powerful impact on Cleveland. This year, they’ve gone from having only 2 people on the team to 13. In addition, their full-time bootcamps have gone from 2 per year, to 4.
With their rapid development and partnerships expanding beyond, We Can Code IT Founder and Co-Founder, Mel McGee and Shana Mysko, are now even considering expanding beyond Cleveland, continuing the immense growth they’ve seen in the last year.
